Time & Date: 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM on June 29th, 2024
Location: China Culture Center, Spui 186,
Featured Teas:
-
Anji Baicha: Ming Qian (pre Qing Ming Festival) batch, from the Long Xi area within the Anji County. High in Amino acid, Anji Baicha is the queen of green tea for it's elegancy and fresh umami.
-
2023 Autumn Tie Guan Yin: picked last Autumn from An Xi, the birthplace of Tie Guan Yin. An odd one out from all the green teas, its actually a type of lightly oxidized Oolong tea with very high aroma.
-
2023 Jingmai Raw Gushu Sheng Pu'er:
originates from the Da Ping Zhan Gushu Forest, Jingmai Mountain, Yunnan province and the tea leaves are hand picked from trees that are around 300 years old. We visited the farmer that owned that piece of Gushu forest and made this tea in Spring 2023 and brought these back. After some time of settling in the cake form, it has lost some of the fresh tea sharpness and starts the aging transformation process.
Event Highlights:
-
Guided Tastings: Led by Yang, explore the origins, processing nuances, and unique flavor profiles of each featured tea.
-
Interactive Sessions: Engage in discussions about the art of Chinese tea making, the significance of terroir, and the story behind each cup.
-
Live Guzheng Music session: Guzheng Master Yanru will play several Guzheng pieces while we sip through the teas and tells about story and culture from each of them.
-
Cultural Immersion: Immerse yourself in the rich tea culture of China, understanding the meticulous care and tradition that goes into every harvest.
