Rong Tian Yixing Teapot
A classic Rong Tian (容天) teapot, fully handmade by Pan Xia (潘霞) in Yixing, from Ben Shan Lü Ni (本山绿泥) and holding approximately 200ml.
The Rong Tian shape is known for its generous, rounded body and broad shoulders — a form that feels grounded and welcoming. Traditionally associated with abundance and openness, it is a shape prized for comfortable daily use and excellent brewing performance.
The soft yellow-green hue of Ben Shan Lü Ni gives the pot a quiet elegance. Over time, the clay develops a deeper lustre, gradually reflecting the teas brewed within it.
Its rounded interior allows leaves ample room to expand, making it particularly suitable for Dancong, Wuyi oolong, roasted Tie Guan Yin, aged white tea, and mature sheng pu'er. The clay gently softens sharper edges while preserving fragrance and structure.
What drew us to this piece is its restraint. No elaborate decoration, no carved embellishments — simply a well-executed traditional form made entirely by hand.
A teapot designed not for a collection shelf, but for years of regular brewing.
